Born in Chicago, Illinois, on November 14, 1910 to Julius and Gertrude Shapiro, Ms. Shapiro moved to Phoenix in 1942 and worked for several years for the city as a bookkeeper and office assistant. She enjoyed painting with watercolors and crocheting gifts for her friends and family.
Ms. Shapiro is survived by her niece-in-law, Millie Katz; her great niece, Amy Bonn; her great nephew-in-law, David Bonn; and her great great nephews, Henry and Warren Bonn. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Shapiro; her sister, Frieda Katz; her nephew, Judd Katz; and her great nephew, John Katz.
