Betty Brown, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and lifelong caregiver, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, at the age of 100. Born on April 6, 1926, in Farmersburg, Indiana, Betty lived a century filled with love, devotion, and care for those around her.
Betty was the heart of her family, known for her warmth, strength, and unwavering love for those around her. She had a remarkable ability to care for others and made everyone feel welcome, valued, and supported. Whether offering encouragement, sharing a laugh, or simply listening, Betty had a special way of making people feel important.
Family was at the center of Betty's life. She lovingly raised her daughter, Tonia Ann Sadova, whom she cherished deeply and whose passing came far too soon. She was a devoted grandmother to Suzanne Carlson and Robert Sadova Jr., taking great pride in their accomplishments and always making time for them. Her grandchildren knew they could count on her unwavering love, support, and encouragement throughout their lives.
Betty was exceptionally bright and dedicated. She enjoyed a successful career with the Internal Revenue Service, where she served faithfully until her retirement. She took great pride in her work and the many relationships she built throughout her career.
In retirement, Betty continued to embrace life with enthusiasm and joy. She loved spending time on the golf course and could often be found golfing with friends. She was also an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching professional games, especially cheering for the Phoenix Suns. Her love for animals brought her comfort and companionship throughout her life. Betty's life was a testament to resilience, grace, and unconditional love. While 100 years is an extraordinary gift, it never feels like enough time with someone so deeply loved. Her family and friends will miss her gentle presence, caring spirit, and the countless memories she created over the course of a remarkable century. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her cherished sister, her husband—William Harry Brown, and her daughter—Tonia Ann Sadova. While her family grieves her loss, they find comfort in knowing that she has been reunited in Heaven with those she loved so dearly and who have been waiting to welcome her home.
