After high school, Betty would often drive to her friend’s, Marlynn, house to pick her up. As Betty would wait for her friend, Marlynn’s brother, Ken would often times go outside to visit with Betty. As time went on, Ken eventually asked Betty out on a date. Shortly thereafter, Betty and Ken were married on January 8, 1954.
After earning her Associate’s Degree, Betty worked as a Medical Assistant for various doctor throughout the years. She and Ken retired in 1992 and they moved to Arizona. Betty was known to be great organizer and always kept the family on budget. Betty loved to cook and was never afraid to try a new recipe.
Betty is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Kenneth Bruce.
