On August 26, 1950, she married Gail D. Owens and they were married 65 years.
She is survived by a half brother-in-law Bill Owens of Indianapolis, IN; a nephew Gail Blain of Naples, FL, whom Betty Lou and Gail raised from the age of 13, and his daughter Angela (Blain) Wilson of Rome, IL; a niece Karen England of Peoria,IL and a cousin Reed Storm of Ashkum, IL.
Preceding her in death was her husband Gail D. Owens who passed away November 8, 2015 and her parents VIrgil and Ethel Betson.
All those who knew Betty Lou will always remember her funny life stories. She was one who always made everyone laugh.
After cremation her urn will be buried alongside Gail's in the Wilson Cemetery, Plato, IL.
Truly, she will be missed by her family and many friends.
