Bonnie Glee Gomes

She was born in LaCrosse, WI to Paul and Maxine Schwartz, and spent her idyllic childhood in South Milwaukee. The Schwartz family moved to Tempe, AZ in 1958. Bonnie graduated with highest honors from Tempe Union High School in 1964. She attended ASC (NAU) from 1964-‘65, receiving a secretarial certificate.

After working one year in downtown Phoenix, Bonnie loaded up her Mustang convertible and headed to Paulo Alto, CA. She married the love of her life, Bill Gomes in 1971. They resided in Belmont (Bay area) for 30 years. She earned an AA Degree from College of San Mateo in 1976.

Bon and Bill traveled extensively, both in the USA and abroad. San Marcos, CA became their last home. Bonnie was very talented, musically. She played guitar, ukulele, and had a beautiful singing voice. Her delightful laughter was a clear reflection of her zest for life. Bon loved swimming, boating, gardening, reading, eating, and social gatherings.

Bonnie is survived by one sister, Paula Pacione (Peoria, AZ); Stepdaughter Latynn Gomes and Stepson, Leonard Gomes (CA)

She is predeceased by her husband, William (Bill) Gomes, sister Nancy Miller, and niece, Corinn Miller.
