

Byron was born June 1, 1939 in Oronogo, MO., to Ralph J. Weaver and Edythe V. Weaver. He graduated from Webb City High School in 1957. He played the saxophone in the Webb City band. He married Sarah Parr in 1958 and they relocated to San Diego, CA where he completed a two-year tour in the U.S. Navy as a plane captain on the USS Philippine Sea. Between 1960-1965 they welcomed three sons, Mark, Brent and Kent. Byron and Sarah divorced in 1980. In 1961 he began a lifelong career in the insurance industry. This culminated in his establishment of a very successful independent insurance brokerage serving the entire valley. He was assisted in this endeavor by his second wife, Joan Harris Weaver, who he married in 1981. They relocated to Arizona from Cincinnati, Ohio in 1983.
He is preceded in death by his son, Mark Weaver and his step-daughter, Michelle Henry. He is survived by his wife, Joan, his sons Brent Weaver and Kent Weaver and step-daughters Tammy Downey, Kimberly Pawlowski, Leslie Small, and Shannon Mikulski. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
For many years Byron and Joan owned a sailboat in San Diego. He was a life-long lover of sailing, sportscars and dogs.
Byron will be missed by his family, friends and colleagues.
