Charles Douglas Seward

He is survived by his children: Cliff (Linda) Seward of Naperville, IL, William "Bill" Seward of Idaho Falls, ID; brother-in-law, Steve Patarozzi of Phoenix, AZ and sister-in-law, Jean Patarozzi of Springfield, IL; loving grandfather of Sarah (Nicki) Rinaldi, Rachel (Jeremy) Spaccapaniccia, Adam (Katie) Seward and Natalie Seward; 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn; his sister Marguerite; parents Forest E. and Lena Becky Seward.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 10-11am with a funeral service starting at 11am at Sunland Memorial Park, Mortuary and Cremation Center, 15826 N Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351. Internment will follow the service.

Charles was born in Chicago, IL. He attended Bowen High School where he met the love of his life, Carolyn. They married in November, 1956, raised their family in Lansing, IL and retired to Surprise, AZ in 1999. Charles worked as a carpenter and estimator for W.E. O'Neill Construction in Chicago, IL.

Charles will always be remembered for his love of bringing his family together through many backyard barbeques, nights out for dinner with family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved to spend time researching genealogy and working on his computer.
