Clifford Alan Colmone of Surprise, Arizona, was called home to our Heavenly Father on June 27, 2025, at the age of 49. Surrounded by the love of his family—his devoted wife Amy, children Joseph, Gianna, Ashlie, and Makena, and his brother Sam—Cliff peacefully ended his courageous 6½-year battle with renal cell carcinoma. True to his nature, he met his illness with strength, humor, and resilience, never allowing it to dim his vibrant spirit.
Born on July 31, 1975, in Rockford, Illinois, to Antonette Marie Colmone and Samuel Victor Colmone, Sr. (both preceding him in death). Cliff spent his early years attending St. James Catholic School. As a teenager, he relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, to live with his father and brothers, Samuel Victor (Nancy) and Daniel. His sister Victoria (Andy) followed her brothers to Arizona years later. He was also preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Samuel Salvatore and Bertha Frances Colmone, who played a pivotal role in raising him and his siblings.
Cliff proudly served in the Army National Guard Reserves in Arizona, demonstrating his deep commitment to his country and his community. He carried the values of service, integrity, and duty with him throughout his life.
A devoted and loving father, Cliff was endlessly proud of his children, Joseph Samuel and Gianna Maria. They were the light of his life, and he created countless cherished memories with them—from watching Marvel and Star Wars movies to pool days and board games. Cliff was a rock for his children, a constant source of love, encouragement, and laughter.
On November 4, 2021, Cliff married his best friend and soulmate, Amy Maurine Kunz. Their love was deep and unwavering. Amy stood faithfully by Cliff’s side, surrounding him with “all the kisses” and guiding him with grace and tenderness as he found his Angels and transitioned into the arms of our Savior Jesus Christ. Together, they shared a passion for travel, adventure, and simply enjoying life. Cliff’s magnetic personality and joyful energy made every moment more memorable.
Cliff loved life and lived it fully. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Arizona Cardinals, and relished the thrill of game days. He enjoyed riding his Harley, trying new restaurants, wine tasting with Amy, bourbon with his buddies, and being outdoors—whether fishing, launching fireworks, or just soaking in the sunshine.
He was a proud and loving “bonus dad” to Amy’s daughters, Ashlie and Makena (Daxton), and an adoring “Opa” to Ryan David. He eagerly anticipated the arrival of his granddaughter, Eleanor Rose, later this year.
Cliff earned his degree in Entrepreneurship and Management from Devry University, class of 2011.
Cliff dedicated 19 years of his professional life to Stine Enterprises as VP of Operations, known for operating Jack in the Box locations throughout Arizona and California. His coworkers and team there became his second family. He took great pride in his work and the relationships he built, always bringing his energy, leadership, and humor to the workplace.
Cliff had a rare gift—the ability to light up any room with his laughter and warmth. He was the life of every party, a loyal friend, and a man who gave his whole heart to those he loved.
His legacy of love, laughter, strength, and joy will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
