Dante Romano, 93, passed away at his home in Sun City West, AZ on April 17, 2014 with his family by his side. He was born in the Bronx, NY on October 1, 1920 and was the youngest of 8 children born to Vincenzo and Caterina Romano. A proud veteran, Dante served in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII. On March 21, 1943 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in the Bronx, Dante married Eva Braiotta. Dante & Eva would remain devoted to each other for the next 71 years. Dante is survived by his loving wife Eva Romano, his daughter Janice (John) Englert, his 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren as well as many other friends and relatives. Viewing will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Sunland Memorial Park Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd in Sun City followed by funeral service at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation, 2929 E Camelback Rd Suite 122, Phoenix, AZ 85016.
