Born November 4, 1969 to Linda and Phillip Holdeman (dec.) in Phoenix, Arizona, where he grew up, attended Simpson Elementary, Cactus High, and ASU. He died while hiking in the North Phoenix preserve on July 15, 2013. Being active in the outdoors was his passion.
Daryl worked most recently for Retronix Int. as a EPI Engineer in Israel. He spent 6 months there and grew to love the people and the country.
He was a wonderful father and spent as much of his time as possible with his boys camping, river exploring, hiking and challenging them to games. He leaves behind three boys; Brett Collins, age 13; Zachery Paul, 11; and Ryan Phillip, 9. He loved “his boys” with all his being and they were the most important part of his life. He is survived by his mother, Linda Dettman of Cottonwood, AZ; his brother Paul Holdeman (Barbi) and their son Parker of Peoria, AZ; and his Uncle Roger Hailey (Ilene) and cousins Tyler and Ryan of Flagstaff, AZ.
Daryl had many friends in the Valley and will be missed by all. A private family service will be held to celebrate his life.
