David Russell Borsvold died on September 29, 2015 in Sun City, Arizona. He was born on July 30, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Dela Mae Hines and Hilman T. Borsvold. He married Shirley Weast/Borsvold on August 7, 2004 who survives.
David graduated from Woodworth High School in Toledo, Ohio and attended the University of Toledo. In 1957 he enlisted in the United States Navy where he was a Trade-Ve-Man. David retired from the Navy after 20 years of service and located to Des Moines, Iowa where he worked for the U.S. Postal Service, after seven years he transferred to Mesa, Arizona Postal Service in the Maintenance Division and retired in 1998.
David was a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner. He attended North Phoenix Baptist Church in Phoenix, Arizona.
Besides his wife he is survived by his step-sons Richard E. Clark (Isabel) and Mark (Lauri) Weast; nephews Jay D. Henderson, David Henderson; Nieces, Dee De Molen and Jenny Henderson. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Delores Johnson.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ from 3-4 pm followed by the funeral service at 4pm. Final resting place Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City.
