With deep sadness and love, we announce the passing of Debra Lynn Pitchkolan-beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt-on Saturday, April 19, 2025. Born in Rome, New York, Debbie (as she was affectionately known) moved to Colorado with her family after her father's service in the Air Force. She grew up in Grand Junction and Aurora, graduating from Hinkley High School in 1970. In 1975, she married the love of her life, Ed Pitchkolan. They started their journey together in San Diego before returning to Colorado in 1978 to raise their family. Debbie cherished her role as a stay-at-home mom to their two children, Sarah and Aaron, born in 1981 and 1983. Once they reached middle school, she pursued her personal and academic goals-earning her Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Colorado Denver, graduating summa cum laude. In later years, Debbie and Ed moved to Los Alamos, New Mexico, and eventually retired in Phoenix, Arizona. She embraced travel, enjoyed a good game of mahjong, loved attending concerts and plays, and treasured time spent with family-especially watching her grandchildren grow. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Beth Kline, and her brothers, Bruce and Darrell. She is survived by her devoted husband, Ed; her children, Sarah and Aaron (with his spouse Jamie); her grandchildren, Adele, William, and Cameron; her brother Brent (with his spouse Amy); and her nieces, Kendall, Lauren, and Katie.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and remembered for her intelligence, warmth, and unwavering love for her family.
