Donald Wayne Anderson was born in Sulligent, Alabama on January 6, 1937 to Carl and Edna Anderson. His father, mother, sister and brother precede him in death. Don, being a mild mannered man, was excellent with people, which was a great gift both personally and professionally. His servant’s heart and social intelligence made for a lifelong, accomplished career in law enforcement. As a family man, Don loved his home, built with his bride of 57 years. He lived his life centered around his faith and through his family: wife Linda, their two children, and six grandchildren. Don loved spending time with family and friends and traveling. He was devoted to causes in several states over many years: The Salvation Army, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Fraternal Order of Police, and Rotary Club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don’s memory to The Salvation Army Sun Cities Corp., 17420 Avenue of the Arts Surprise, Arizona 85378.
