Donald P. Braun, age 97, passed away on February 22, 2026 in Glendale, AZ. Don was born in Pontiac, MI in 1928 to Paul and Viola Braun, and grew up in Grand Rapids, MI. He lived in Depew, NY for many years before moving to Arizona. Don spent most of his career working as a salesman for Western Publishing Co. and later for Sun Vue Marketing. He enjoyed playing bridge, swimming and watching sporting events.
Don is survived by his wife of 75 years, Sadie Robinson Braun. Don is also survived by his two sisters Mary (Jack) Hurst and Eleanor (Ron) Hage, and was preceded in death by his brothers Robert and Paul. Don had four children: Daniel (Cindy), David (Angela), Katherine (Christopher) McHale and Christopher (Karyle). Don had nine grandchildren: Daniel Braun, Michael D. Braun, Colleen Alfonso, Patrick McHale, Mary Aguilar, Travis Braun, Sarah Prechel, Michael C. Braun and Peter Braun. Don also had several great grandchildren.
A service will be held on May 2nd at 10:00 at Sunland Memorial Park, 15826 N Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to dementia-Alzheimer’s research.
