Donna and Bob were two of the kindness, nicest and congenial individuals I have ever known. Donna always had a smile on her face and seemed to always look at the good in every person. She accepted praise on her many creative and artistic talents, but always appeared surprised at the accolades. I am fortunate to have many of the hand-made Christmas ornaments she gave to family members at the annual Eber holiday gathering. Even when I was not in attendance at the gathering, Donna always sent an ornament home with my mother (Delora) or Aunt Virginia. Those ornaments will be a lasting memorial to both Donna and Bob as they continue to grace my Christmas tree in the years to come.

There are so many special memories:
One of many:
Every year Donna, Bob, Ginny, Bob and I spent the Labor Day weekend in Charlevoix.
On Labor Day (for 15 years) we walked the Mackinac Bridge. The Bob’s (Russ and Eber) would drive us to the north side of the bridge and us gals would walk back while they (the Bob's) returned to the city and had breakfast and met us at the finish line where we received our certificate and they took our picture. Then we all walked into town and we purchased our badge and t-shirt or sweatshirt. What fun. Donna always enjoyed wearing her shirt.

Also when together Donna, Ginny and I loved to shop and we were good bargain hunters. We filled up the back end of the van and when we got “home” Bob Russ would take out our purchases and stack them up on the sofa and take a picture

Donna, my Dad’s cousin, and her husband Bob, were two of the nicest people I have ever met and was so happy they were part of our family. I was always happy to see them at family gatherings, especially Christmas, when they always would give the most creative homemade ornaments. My last great memory of Donna and Bob was when we shared a Glacier National Park tourbus with them, my Aunt Virginia and my parents. The pictures of that trip will always remind me of the fun we had—truly one of the best days of my life.
