We all have so many people who pass through our lives and there are those who always bring a smile with the memory. Doug is one of those people .  With the ever present twinkle in his eye and his “wit” you couldn’t t help being drawn in.  Doug and Janet have been missed since they moved from va but so happy they have been with the family through this difficult time.  Condolences to you Janet and all the family

Doug and Janet were our next door neighbors  in Chester VA and quickly  became good friends, spending many Holidays meals with us!  With Doug, any visit became a celebration of life with his humor and his genuine love of all people and food...... course that was next to his love of  soccer!! Having attended school in England,  we immediately developed  a special rapport- I will miss calling him on his birthday this year!!!!   Rest In Peace our friend.

I am Roland Boellinger, I worked with Doug from 1987 to 1990 when I was send over from France to Detroit to support AMC / Chrysler programs.

Doug welcomed me when I arrived and helped me a lot to understand the business, the language and the American Customers.

I met Doug again during his business trips to Europe or when I was visiting Auburn hills facility during the Siemens / Continental times.

I remember a sentence that I repeat at many occasions. When I had difficulties with the job, Doug always said :

"Do not Worry, it is only the work!"

The picture is the one that was taken during my Farewell party at Doug's house in 1990 just before I left USA (I am in the middle!!)

All my thinking goes to Doug's family especially in this Christmas period

As I read through the previous notes of condolence, I am struck by the sense of family that shines through as Doug  was at the very center of the "Fram" family and we celebrate his life and the part that he played in all of ours.
Truly, a gentle man with an outsized personality who loved us, gave us all new names, and came into a room like a tornado.
