Edith was born in Darmstadt, Germany on December 19, 1935. One of 8 children. She survived World War II. At the age of 20, she met Harry, who was stationed in Darmstadt at the time. It was love at first sight for the both of them. They married on February 11, 1957. Early in life, Edith was a model and a beautician. Later in life she was a homemaker. She raised four boys: Terry, Daniel, Michael and Kenneth. As a testament to her influence and upbringing (along with Dad's),
all of the boys turned out to be good caring individuals.
