

Taylor was born in Bristow, Oklahoma on December 29, 1926. He graduated Briggsdale High School and worked in various vocational jobs including dry land farming, heavy equipment operations, oil and gas drilling, welding, mining, truck driving, lathe operation, factory work, and mechanics in various fields. He later served in the United States Army overseas in the Army Corps of Engineers and became a Staff Sergeant. After his honorable discharge, he married Juanita Carr from Morley Tennessee and they had four children, Trent, Lane, Beth and Travis. He loved traveling, Harley Davidsons, diesel engines, and music. His greatest love was the Lord Jesus Christ and his family. His greatest desire was to lead a life that would ultimately help crippled children and Christian mission work. Taylor left that legacy and at sunrise on November 14, 2016 he made his departure for heaven to see his beloved Savior face to face. He is survived by his former wife Juanita and his children Congressman Trent Franks, Lane Franks, Travis Franks, Beth Franks and his grandchildren Kassie, Natelie, Joshie, Gracie, and Landon.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 19, at Sunland Lakeside Chapel , 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ. Visitation at 11:30AM with service following at 12:30PM.
