Eric “Rick” Charles Eisweirth, 56, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Phoenix on January 24, 1962. Rick was the beloved husband to Yasmin Rosas Fernandez. He is survived by his brother Steve and sister Ida Nova; three children, Heath (Erica), Erica (Ivory), and Thomas (Christina); eight grandchildren, Anthany, Alexis, Jayden, Lilyana, Alysia, Kaden, Armani, and Chloe; and two great grandchildren Antonio and Naomie.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents Arthur Eisweirth and Jean Barker, brother John, and sister Joyce Ann.
Rick attended West High School and owned Jeannie’s Blind Repair since 1981. He could fix anything and passed his “handy man skills” on to his sons. Rick enjoyed meeting and talking to people and made friends where ever he went. He was outgoing and loved to joke and make people laugh.
Rick was a proud father and grandfather and liked spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. During the holidays, you could find Rick in the kitchen baking chocolate chip cookies, which were a crowd favorite.
Rick often went on drives out in the country to escape the busyness of the city. He found peace in the beautiful landscape of the desert. Throughout his life, he took many trips to camp and hike throughout Arizona. Rick was the happiest when he was up north camping with his wife, parrot, and four dogs.
Rick will be remembered for his sense of humor, big heart, and generous spirit. He is already missed greatly.
Rick will be laid to rest in Sunland Memorial Park. A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
