Frank Stickel Jr. passed away peacefully, on July 6, 2020. He was born on June 9, 1938, to Frank Stickel Sr. and Elsie (née Steinruck). The youngest of three siblings, he was predeceased by his two older sisters, Geraldine and Joan. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Frank grew up in Maspeth (Queens), NY, and Port Washington (Long Island), NY. The Stickel family were members of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior (Port Washington).
Employed by the State of New York's Parks Department, Frank spent over 35 years working outside, with his varied responsibilities. He was an avid fisherman, a serious coin collector, and always enjoyed gardening. Frank met his wife later in life, at which time, they enjoyed traveling to many locations. They lived in Port Washington for several years, and then decided to retire in Sun City, Arizona. Frank had been both a Freemason, and a member of the Elks (in NY, as well as in Arizona).
Frank leaves behind his loving wife, Helen (née Catelanos), of 25 years, devoted step-daughter Marguerite Vitakis, and many friends and Lodge brothers.
