Dear Sweet Pam,
I am sending my most heartfelt condolences to you with a long tight hug. I will begin with the fact that I first met Gary while I was a Bartender at the Creston Iowa Elks Lodge 605. Gary had just moved to Creston as the manager of Interstate Electric. What a phenomenal personality! Always positive smiling and laughing. I then met Pam as you began dating Gary and you two would meet at the lodge for good drinks and great steaks. I was privileged to have you both setting at my bar and catching up. I am truly sorry and very sad over the loss of such a kind friend. God Bless each of you as you mourn Gary and move forward. He was a strong person as I am sure each of you are as well. Rest in Peace Gary.

I knew Pam and Gary through doing flyball with our dogs. I remember Gary always smiling and he loved Pam and enjoyed their dogs. He always seemed to be happy, quiet sometimes but always kind. Gene and I wish Pam comfort and blessings through this part of her life. Rest In Peace, Gary. Love to you Pam and continue your life, Gary will be watching over you. Love Chris & Gene Duprey

The Rutenbeck’s loved Gary. We sat by him at the Iowa home games for over 35 years. What a joy! We would yell and scream at those darn Hawkeys. Since we were end row seats we would stamp “potty passses”. People only got 2 lol. Watched Gary start to date Pam, his kids grow up, and his grandkids grow up all from the seats of Kinnick stadium. Love you Pam and Gary. Will be so missed

We have so many fond memories of Gary during our 25 plus years of friendship. From our casino excursions, to having a few beers and a lot of laughs along the way, to cheering on the Hawkeyes. Gary always had a smile on his face that would brighten anybody’s day. He will be sorely missed but he lives on inside each and everyone he touched. He is now basking in the warmth and sunshine of eternal life. Until we meet again, we love you Mr B.
