Peterson, Gerald D., 89, of Goodyear, Arizona passed away January 27, 2014. Gerald was born in Pecatonica, IL to Elizabeth and Frank Peterson. He served in United States Army and retired from Honeywell as a sales engineer. Gerald was a member of the Masonic Lodge where he attained the third degree of Master. He also was a toastmaster and designed beautiful works of needle point tapestry. Gerald leaves with all those who knew him many wonderful memories. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. Gerald is survived by his daughter Christine (Dale) Fleshman of Arizona and step son Harlan (Deborah) Nuss of Iowa. He also leaves behind brothers Charles Peterson of Kansas, Keith and Donald Peterson both of Illinois, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his 1st wife Lois Spague Peterson who passed in 1955 and his second wife Thelma Nuss Peterson who passed in 2005. A private memorial service will be held in Portland, OR March 29, 2014. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to any Hospice of choice.
