Gertrude Irene Katzen 96, beloved wife of the late Oscar Katzen, passed away in Chandler, AZ on October 13, 2014. She was born on March 20, 1918 in Brooklyn, New York to Jacob and Rebecca Chernin. Gertrude was a homemaker caring for her beloved family that survive her, loving daughters Rebecca and Robin Katzen; six grandchildren, Stacy Robertson, Eric Katzen, Michael and Jessica Gelfand, Joshua Gelfand and Erin Gelfand; five great-grandchildren, Evan Robertson, Brendan Shultis, Morgan Katzen, Jereca Katzen and Jacob Gelfand. The Graveside Service will be at 11:00 A.M., Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Mount Ararat Cemetery in Farmingdale, New York.
