Gladys Grace Bush of Sun City, AZ (age 97) passed away peacefully while in hospice at home with her family and caregiver by her side. She was born in Barnesville, MN on June 18, 1922, grew up in St. Paul, and made Sun City her home in 1978. She was well known for her masterful quilting and bridge card gaming skills, and was an active member of the Sun City Harmonicares, ‘ukulele club, photography club, Questor group, china painting club and Creative Quilters. Gladys raised four children, traveled the world, and loved spending summers in Alaska, Minnesota, and Hawaii.
She was the daughter of the late Otto and Bertha Tomshine, sister of Ethel Day and brother Clarence Tomshine, deceased, and is survived by sister Dolores (Richard) Heilman. She is predeceased by husbands David W. Beatson, Charles Watson, and Vernon Bush, and is survived by her children David (Cindy), James (Shelly), Bonnie, and Tom (Linda), grandchildren Cherie (David), Vincent and Anthony (Bonnie), Michael, Daniel and Laura Lynn (Tom), and great-grandchildren Sofia and Veronica (Cherie), Carter and Caleb (Daniel), and nieces Linda and Angie (Delores), Angela (Ethel), and nephew Toby (Clarence).
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the excellent care and companionship provided to Gladys over the last few years from the caregivers of Primecare Home Solutions and Banner Hospice. In particular, we thank Karina and Liz for their love and compassion for Gladys in her last year.
