Glenn Harold Peterson, 87, of Sun City, Arizona passed away August 31, 2022 after a heroic, hard fight with Alzheimer’s. He was born in Elgin, Illinois, to John Henry and Esther (Swanson) Peterson. Glenn married Janet McGeachy May 26, 1956, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Charles, Illinois.
Glenn joins his loving wife, Janet and son Michael in Paradise yet lives on in memory through his children; William J. (Tracey), daughter Kathy Semerau (John), son Tom, his grandchildren: Jaclyn Murphy (Brian), Joanna Klopp (Justin), Amanda Carr (Eric), Hannah Watson (Greg), Samuel Semerau, and his great-grandchildren: Jocelyn, Adriana and Emmie Carr, Chance and Cody Watson, Jonathan and June Klopp, Ethan Murphy, as well as his loving sisters; Marilyn O’Neal, Doris Carlson (Cliff) of Geneva, Il, Linda Collins of Riverside, Ca. and many dear nieces, nephews, and friends.
Glenn was employed by Batavia Sheet Metal over 35 and retired in 1997, he knew his trade well and was sought after by many to fix their furnaces and A/C units. He developed lasting friendships and was dearly loved by his customers.
Glenn and his wonderful wife Janet developed many lasting friendships in Batavia. They were both inseparable, loving parents and always dedicated to their family and friends. They were together a beautiful, giving couple and would do anything for anyone. They loved traveling and ended up following their daughter out to Arizona to live in 2004.
Glenn was a man of many talents. He enjoyed birdwatching, fishing, hunting, taxidermy, golfing, and was an avid Ham Radio Operator. He connected with people all over the world.
