Gordon Bernard Lindvall, age 77, of Sun City, Arizona passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022. Gordon was born in North Platte, Nebraska, attended and graduated from Kearney State College in Kearney, Nebraska. He began a family in North Platte before moving to Sterling, Colorado then Colorado Springs, Colorado where he worked until retirement. Upon retirement, they split their time between Colorado and Sun City, AZ until recently becoming full time Sun City residents.
Gordon (Gordy) enjoyed a rich life full of love for family and friends. He was a role model as a husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Gordy mastered a range of careers as a railroad brakeman, science teacher (where he met, courted and married his wife, Leona), mechanic, excavation business owner, realtor, auctioneer, boat shop owner, and construction supervisor of roads & bridges. Gordy built or remodeled nearly every home he lived in as an adult. He was a superb handyman, known to have a tool for every job. If he was unable to fix something he would figure out how to build a new (and usually better) one.
Gordy is survived by his spouse, Leona Lindvall; his son Derek Lindvall (Laura); and his daughter Kari Brode; several grandchildren Cheyenne Coon, Shawn Brode, Sydney Lindvall and Landon Lindvall and two great grandchildren Elijah Scheller & Noah Chung; sisters Sarah VonFeldt (Leonard) and Christine Hansen (Leonard) and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by sister Harriett Christenson (Arley) and parents Wehrs and Louise Lindvall.
