Grace Jeannette Perkins, 77, went to be with the Lord on January 5, 2017. Grace was born in Youngstown, Ohio on April 10, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Leroy and Myrtle Castle. Grace graduated from Phoenix Technical High School in 1956. During her senior year of high school she met Claude Perkins, who became the love of her life. Next month they would have been married for 59 years. Grace worked for Mountain Bell and then AT&T. She retired with 27 years of service. Grace was a very kind and gentle soul; she had she had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Myrtle Castle as well as her sister, Bette Marble. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her husband, Claude Perkins; her daughter, Amy (Jeff) of Sun City, two grandsons, Rhett and Dain; siblings, Judy Rollins of Phoenix and Leroy (Mary Beth) Castle of Lakeside, AZ; as well as nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday morning, January 28th at Christ's Church of the Valley, 7007 West Happy Valley Road, Peoria, Arizona. Arrangements were entrusted to Sunland Mortuary, www.sunlandmemorial.com.
