Harvey was a graduate of the University of Buffalo, earning a master's degree in teaching in 1970. He dedicated 32 years of his life to teaching at North Tonawanda High School in North Tonawanda, NY. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sheron Pearl. Harvey was blessed with two daughters, Janet (the late John Eich) and Deborah (husband James Grys), of whom he was immensely proud. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Pearl and Rose Steinberg, and his sister, Loretta Mueller. Harvey also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, along with honorary nieces and nephews.
An avid coin collector, Harvey's greatest passions were his coins and his love of teaching. He often remarked that he never really worked a day in his life, as he viewed his job as a hobby. Over the decades, he touched the lives of many students, who would return to thank him for the impact he had on their lives and the lessons he taught in his class.
Harvey will live on forever in our hearts and memories.
