Helen S. Piwowar (Solek), 88, of Sun City West (formerly Chicago, IL), passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 17, 2013. Born in Chicago on June 1, 1924, Helen worked all of her adult life until retirement at the Western Electric Hawthorne Works in Cicero, IL. She is survived by her husband of 66+ years, Leo “Don” Piwowar, daughter Linda Cicenas (Gerald) of Buckeye, AZ, son Wayne Piwowar and grandson Jason of Tampa, FL, sister-in-law Elizabeth (Liz) Piwowar of Palos Hills, IL, and many nieces and nephews. Helen is preceded in death by all of her siblings. Viewing will be on Thursday, February 21st , at 9am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church followed immediately at 10am by a funeral mass.
