Howard honorably served his country in the US Army during the Korean War and was decorated with three Bronze Stars. He entered law enforcement and retired from the Department of Public Safety after 24 years.
Howard is preceded in death by his grandson, Robert L. Wardle, III. Howard is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Rafaela Ruby; children, Judy Manning and Danny Medina; sisters, Lucy Riley and Lela Trask; grandchildren, Rochelle, Michael and Christina and seven great grandchildren.
Howard's passions werebowling, horseshoe pitching and blue grass music. He also enjoyed buying and selling cars that were in mint condition! He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 2:00pm – 3:00pm on Friday, March 1, 2013 with Funeral starting at 3:00pm at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ.
