Irene "Bene" Rose Askin, 101 years young, of Surprise, AZ, passed on to see her Lord Jesus, family and friends on May 30, 2015. Irene grew up in upstate New York and became a buyer of children's clothing for a large clothing store. Irene traveled to many countries for business and pleasure. She loved to entertain family and friends, play bridge and listen to the Phoenix Sun's and Diamondback's games on her radio headset. Her family will always remember her love and strength and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends who cared for her at Crossing Hospice Care and Sunwest Choice Healthcare. At the family's request, services for Irene will be held privately. The family asks no flowers be sent.
