James Veryl "Sandy" Sanders, 91, a 42 year resident of Sun City died 26 January 2017. He was born 28 October 1925 near Philip, Haakon, South Dakota to Theodore Henry and Enid Childs Lathrop Sanders. He served in WWII and retired from the US Navy after 22 years in December 1964. He married Ethelmae "Ethel" Emerson on 23 December 1951 in Levittown, Nassau, New York. He had a BA degree from Fort Lewis College, Durango, Colorado and a MBA from Western Colorado State College in Gunnison, Colorado. In Sun City he was a member of the Sun City RV Club, Sun City Computer Club and West Valley Genealogical Society. Survived by Ethel Sanders, James K./Rita Sanders of Sun City, Marti/Michael Murphy of Tuscon, Az. Grandchildren: Darrin/Shannon Sanders of Parker, Co., Michael Sanders, Denver, Co., Shannon Murphy, Miami Beach, Fl., Lauren Murphy, Phoenix, Az. and Great Grandson: Connor James Sanders of Parker, Co. There will be no service and interment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix, Az.
