Janet Lydia Bohr

Janet Lydia Bohr was born on May 26, 1946, in Wayne Michigan. Janet married Thomas C. Seros in 1967. She raised her family in Capac, Michigan where she was an active member of the Athletic Boosters Club. After Tom’s passing, Jan married Joseph Leo Bohr Jr. They enjoyed 35 years of marriage before Joe’s passing in February 2024.

Jan worked endlessly to support her family and the community. She worked at Grace Engineering, went back to school to earn an Associates Degree in Business, and become a Production Manager. She continued her career as an interior designer/program manager at Walnut Brooke Estates, and manager at Weed Eraser. Jan retired to Surprise, Arizona in 2023. Her work ethic and dedication to her family were unmatched.

Jan had many hobbies and was constantly filling her time with new experiences. She enjoyed golf and traveling. She learned to play the piano and loved arts and crafts. She was a very talented “Gourd Artist” and recently began painting. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends. She was a dedicated, loyal great-grandmother, grandmother, mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Jan is loved and remembered by her children Randy Overton, Craig (Terry) Seros, Jeffrie (Noreen) Seros, and Thomas (Cathy) Seros, as well as her stepchildren Bridget (Jim) Messner, Cindy (Ken) Kluz and Joseph (Maria) Bohr III.

Jan’s memory is held by her loving grandchildren Jordan (Quintin) Pavel, Eliza Seros, Jeffrie T.N. Seros, Erin Seros, Thomas (Victoria) Seros, Alyssa Seros, Eric (Kayla) Messner, Alyssa (Blaze) Messner, Alexandria (Derek) Nowak, Samantha Kluz, Jessica Kluz, Danielle (Justin) Kluz, Jenna Bohr and Michael Bohr.

Jan’s memory lives on with her great-grandchildren Claire Seros, Noelle Seros, Dominik Nowak, and Talia Nowak. She will be remembered by her many loving nieces and nephews.

Jan is survived by her siblings Patrick (Jane) Leigh and Gary Leigh.

Jan was preceded in death by Thomas Charles Seros, Joseph Leo Bohr Jr., Joseph Leo Bohr IV, Andrew Messner, James Leigh, and her parents Glenwood and Bernice Leigh.

Services for Janet Lydia Bohr will be held at 11:00 am on August 9, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Clair, Michigan. A celebration of Jan’s life will be held immediately following at the St. Clair Inn. Jan requested her family and friends have a celebration in her honor. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Ronald McDonald House of Ann Arbor in Jan’s name.
