You always preached of a loving God and  your faith did not waver. You always knew mine has because of all the cruelty in the world, I question deity but  it is not without cause. You never faltered though, even when I have and you actually make  me think, and believe that there very well  might be a heaven. If there is I KNOW you are there. Even if I  question deity and a place we all go  to after our earthly lives to rejoice with a heavenly father, I believe you no matter what my mind tells me. Because when you truly believe something  then it is true. 

So how do I say goodbye and until we meet again? I will not say goodbye, I just can't.  I will look forward to the  next  time I see you in heaven. I know you are there because your faith is undying. I know I will see  my own mother, my father, my grandmother, my sister...all my loved ones who have touched my life and shaped me into the person I am, even to a fault.  You have taught me more than you could ever know. I still incorporate those  lessons into my daily life and I always will. I don't place much value in material things, although you loved and adored your trinkets and knick-knacks, the cherished items you bought in your wordly travels, the material gifts you bestowed upon all of us who could not be there with you in your journies, and I  love you for them. 

I am breaking the rules of journalist prowess and am breaking out from first person accounts because you were so  giving to so  many, that when I recall the gifts you gave me,  I also recall the gifts you gave to everyone, both monetarily and  from the heart.  Every trinket, every word, everything you have ever done for me, and I cannot count all the favors, all the help, all the terms of endearment, all the admonishments, all the support, they are too numerous to name. I am truly blessed to have had you in my life, and I will keep you in my heart always.

Rest in peace Jan...mom...Gimp, until  we meet again.  <3
