Born on September 12, 1989, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Jenn grew up with a strong sense of compassion, a deep love for people, and an infectious smile that lit up every room. She carried that love into every facet of her life—from her work as an educator to her cherished relationships with friends and family.
Jenn earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wyoming and dedicated 11 years to shaping young minds across Kansas and Wyoming. She was a passionate and patient teacher who saw the potential in every child she taught. Her students, their families, and her colleagues all remember her as someone who truly cared—both inside and outside the classroom.
On August 18, 2012, Jenn married her high school sweetheart, Michael Johnson, in Riverton, Wyoming. Their love was the kind that inspired others—rooted in friendship, loyalty, and laughter. Together, they have two beautiful daughters, Nora (6) and Remi (4), who were the light of Jenn’s life. She found her greatest joy in being a mother and wife, and her family was always at the heart of everything she did.
Jenn had a special way of making everyone feel seen and valued. Whether it was camping under the stars, casting a line while fishing, or crafting beautiful wreaths for friends, Jenn poured love into every moment. She was the person who would drop everything to help someone in need—no hesitation, no questions asked.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Johnson; her daughters, Nora and Remi; her loving parents, Jeff and Lisa Hohn; her brother, Josh Hohn; her sister, Jessica Wells; and many extended family members and friends who were touched by her kindness and grace.
Jenn is preceded in death by her grandfather Donald Uptagrafft, her grandparents Alvin and Edna Hohn, and her aunt Charlene Greenway.
A celebration of Jenn’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 19th in Peoria, Arizona. A second celebration will take place in Riverton, Wyoming in September (date and time to be announced). All who knew and loved Jenn are invited to attend and share in remembering a life so beautifully lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Jenn’s memory by doing something kind for someone in need—just as she would have done.
