

John Horton was born October 26, 1946. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Denver, CO and then attended Denver University where he received a Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Conducting.
John served in the Army from 1969-1972 in the District of Columbia where he was awarded the Army Commendation for Administrative Excellence.
After completing his service he taught Music for nine years to both elementary and middle school students. Following his teaching career, John entered the ministry and founded Rhema Faith Fellowship Church which he led for over 38 years.
Later in his career, John joined Life Christian University as an Associate Professor of Theology and Biblical Studies. In addition to teaching duties he also completed another Bachelor of Theology, Master of Theology, and Biblical Studies and a PhD in Theology. John published several articles in trade magazines and local news papers. He was an avid writer and graduated from Longridge Writers Group.
John leaves behind his spouse of 59 years Phyllis, his sister Pam, sons Sean and Nathan, and daughters-in-law Tawnya and Cimarron.
