Kay.  We are very sorry to hear about Jack.  It seams like just yesterday we were talking in church about Jack going in for eye surgery - we were shocked yesterday when you told us the news.  We will truly miss Jack and we will pray for you and the rest of your family.  Duane and Sue Kanitz

Kay, Scott, Jody and Jennifer, we want the express our deepest sympathy for the passing of your Husband and Father. I can still remember your Wedding Reception you had back here and what a great couple you made. Terry and I had so many memories of Jack back here in Illinois. Sweet Pea Restaurant must have been the hot spot for getting family together because we've spent a lot of time there. I also remember Bishops at Southpark Mall and the Truck Stop (can't remember name) restaurant in Geneseo. Seems to me we all had a lot in common "Food". Jack was the life of a party and always kept us up, on his family. Loved his and Kay's newsletter every year, it was like all of you grew up next door. He was a kind generous man, no one will take his place. Just keep stories alive by talking about him all the time. We love each and everyone of you and will keep you in our prayers.

Today we grieve with you as you bury your beloved husband and father (brother and friend).  While he walked this earth, we were grateful for his kind heart, his loving and cheerful presence and now his sweet memory to comfort and guide you. 

When we met Jack, we were struck by his impish humour and sparkling eyes.  His favorite stories were about his children and we looked forward to his annual Xmas letters giving us a loving picture of his life and all of you.

Part of my family,  like another Poppa to Joey and will remain in our hearts forever. Definitely cannot say I know another grandfather so involved in everything his family did and with such joy and happiness.  Dad will be extremely missed but I hold him in my heart until we get to see each other once again in a beautiful,  peaceful place. Love you!

I was over a lot in high school. Out of my circle of friends I always viewed him as being one of the cool Dads. I remember Jack being involved in his family, friends and community.   Making himself approachable to anyone. He just didn't welcome you to his home but to his family. Smiling, Laughing sharing joy with those around him. Especially his family.

Jennifer, So sorry to hear about your dad passing way too early in life. My prayers go out to you and your family. As time goes by, may it heal your heart and offer you some peace.

Jack was an amazing man with a larger than life personality. He truly had a passion for Christ and his family. Jack loved helping at the grand kids schools and lit up every time he talked about them. He will truly be missed.

We had such good times with Jack, Kay and their family when we came out to visit.  We were hoping Jack and Kay would be able to visit us in Cleveland since we retired and have more time for visiting with family.

It was always a joy seeing him walk through the church courtyard at St. Helen's with his wonderful hiking stick all shiny smooth.  We will always remember his famous rabbit puppet that made the rounds at the RE class for our now 20 yr old daughter.  We were even given the opportunity to see him at just about every sport event for his grandkids at Glendale Prep.  He will be missed.

We were saddened to hear of the unexpected death of Jack.  We offer our prayers and condolences to his entire family. God's blessings and comfort to everyone.

Mooberry family we are so sorry for your loss. Your dad was a great man and was always fun to be around. He always treated us like family!

Aunt Doris and Uncle Jack often came over to play pinochle with my parents. That left my brother Ed, Jackie, Doreen and me to play together. I remember chasing lightning bugs, swinging on swings and running around with flashlights playing hide and go seek in the dark. Hanging out with Jackie and Doreen was never boring! The miles between Connecticut and Arizona, as well as having our own families, prevented adult experiences to recount - praise God for the promises of Heaven and eternity. We will one day all be reunited! Wonder if we'll see any fireflies in Heaven? Love and condolences to you all, Jack's cousin- Dorothy

I have so many great memories of Jack.  Sometimes he would just call to call. And his smile would come across the phone.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Magee and Mooberry families.  When I moved to Arizona 10 years ago, I knew no one. The Mooberrys became my second family, and by extension, so did the Magees. I spent many holidays and other occasions with them, and came to know Jack well. He will always be remembered.

I remember Jack as a gung ho Air Force enlisted soldier that had strong military commitments and stronger opinions on life and the way things should be. He was full throttle on anything he did in his early days, or until his MS illness mellowed what he could do. We did have a couple of great visits out to Arizona to see him and his family, and we made the most of his visit to Cleveland. He will be missed and remembered for living life his way. .

Sue and I have been keeping all of you in our prayers.  You may remember when we gathered at Sweetpea's in Geneseo for a visit with Mom.  Here is a photo of our clan with Jack in the front row.  He did like the front row, didn't he?  He will be missed by all of us.

We had some fun times with Jack.  I remember how much he loved music and enjoyed our trip to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I am not exclusively familiar with John but I am good friends with his grandchildren. I am able to tell what a great man he was from his legacy. Tyler and Taylor are kind hearted and virtuous which i believe to be a reflection of those raising them and around them. God Bless.

I remember when Adam, Jody, and Tyler lived with Kay and Jack when they were first married.  It takes a special kind of kindness and understanding to be able to share life in the same home that way. Jody, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family.  The one thing I remember most about your dad is his warm smile and his generosity.  He made me feel like a part of your family - as did you and your entire family.  He was funny, kind, all of the above - but whenever his family was around I could always see the joy on his face.  Y'all were the light of his life.  I'll never forget his kindness towards me.

So sorry for your sudden loss. While I did not get to know him personally, it was evident he was a very loving and supportive man.  He was a great fan, always at Tyler's games. We did not know Jack well. Only met him a few times. But I could tell he was a good man. He raised a wonderful family. His daughter Jody is a dear friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

We will miss Jack.  The last few years we have gotten to know him better especially as a brother-in-law.  We enjoyed visiting with him when he came out East and when we got out West.  Seeing him with his family and seeing his joy in his grandchildren was wonderful.  We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
