Joseph (Joe) Bernard Meyerson, 89, of Surprise, AZ, passed away on April 26, 2014. He was born on September 8, 1924 in Queens, NY to the late Jack and Eva Meyerson. He served in The United States Army Air Corps during World War II and was stationed in England. Joe spent 65 years married to the love of his life, Sylvia, who passed away in 2012. He was active in the Jewish War Veterans and helped Refusniks escape from the former Soviet Union and acclimate to life in America. He was also an avid golfer. Joe is survived by his four children, Jeff (Jackie), Ken, Lisa (Charles) Marshall and Betsy (Buddy) Butler as well as five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and other loving family and friends. A memorial service will take place Sunday, May 4, 2014 beginning 9:30 AM at Sunland Memorial Park, 15826 Del Webb Blvd, Sun City, AZ 85351.
