A memorial service with Military Honors is planned for Saturday, March 16, 2019, 11 AM at Sun City Christian Church. Joe was born July 17, 1930, in Mexico, Missouri to Earle and Ruth Moore.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Noemi L. Moore; 3 daughters, Melissa Moore and Pamela Sipus, of Melbourne, FL, Maria (and Edward D) Mangie, of Fort Myers Beach, FL; son, Joseph Moore of Noblesville, IN; 3 grandsons, Sebastian Cole Moore, Maximilian Moore and Austin (and Alexandria) Chastain.
Joe attended Westminster College in Missouri in 1948, left school to enlist in the Air Force during the Korean War, where he was a pilot. Then, he returned to complete his studies at Missouri University, graduating in 1956 with a BA in History and Economics.
An avid golfer for most of his life, Joe had the good fortune to have hit two holes in one during his lifetime: one at the Mexico Country Club as a young man home on leave; the other at 85 as a retired gentleman in Sun City.
For 38 years he worked in the refractories industry as a salesman then a sales manager who travelled the globe for Kaiser Refractories/National Refractories.
