Armand and Joe were lifelong friends! Armand is very sad to hear of Joe's passing! I've only known Joe and Pennie for 5 years! It was wonderful getting to know them both! Our New Orleans trip together is a great memory!

My deepest condolences to the Vasta family.  I attended the same high school with Joe, and we were both police officers at the San Jose Police Department in San Jose, California.  Joe was a good guy, enjoyed a good laugh, was always neat and presentable, and a true professional.  Joe left after 10 years or so, and we lost contact with him.  I hope that Joe was happy wherever he ended up.  Good guy, consummate professional, good friend.  Rest In Peace, Joe.
