Josephine L. Fraking was born on January 1, 1921 in Kansas City, Missouri to James & Ruth Eads. She passed on December 3, 2018 at the age of 97 in Sun City West, Arizona. Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church, at 11AM. at 13658 West Meeker Blvd, Sun City West, Az.
Her husband, John E. Fraking preceded her in death. She leaves behind 2 daughters and a son: Karen Kammeier (Ken), Sheryl Grant (Mike), and Ryne Fraking(Kelly); 5 grandchildren: Brett Kammeier (Carolyn), Kara Eppley(Todd), Mindy Grant(Gary), Kendra Nader(Jason) and John W. Fraking; as well as 12 great-grandchildren : K'Ron Burton and Myron Battle; Jake, Charlie & Christian Kammeier; Samantha, Madeline & Andrew Eppley, and Charlotte, Benjamin & William Nader. She is also survived by her sister Georgia Hewson (Bob) and nephews: Glenn and Dan Hewson as well as great nieces and a great nephew.
Josephine was a Medical Technologist in Kansas City, Missouri & in Whittier, California. In her later years, she volunteered at Del Webb Hospital in the Laboratory, in the NICU and at the Information Desk. She received a pin and an award for working 5000 hours at Del Webb.
Josephine was also very active in the Women's church groups at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church. She was also very active in the Recreation Center's Ceramic Club, Calligraphy Club and Sewing Club. She even took a line dancing class in her late 80s. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, making Holiday greeting cards and watching the old time Westerns on TV. She loved flowers and plants of all kinds.
