If we were to use two characteristics that remind us the most of Ken, they would be:
) Unlimited generosity: He tackled tasks for our family that even we were hesitant to do!
2) Wonderful Writing Skills:  His daily journal while "cat-sitting" Bruce's pets were the highlight of the end of any trip!

I remember Ken for his love and fatherhood role of his family and friends. Being friends with his son, Scott, I recall many times Ken inquiring about my life whenever I was at the Howard home. He was involved with his kid's friends- and that I will never forget.

A very special human being has left us. His friendship, kindness and compassion will always be remembered and cherished. He will be greatly missed.

What a positive man.  His inner glow warmed all that met him.

I first met Ken nearly 40 years ago when our family first visited Grace Lutheran. He greeting our family with a friendly welcome and SMILE!
 Over the years, we shared coffee and chats on a regular basis. Ken suggested  we wear RED each Friday to honor our troops.
 On one of our last Friday coffee gatherings this past September, he wanted to have it on my boat and loved it!
During these past 6 months, Ken has taught me to "SEIZE THE MOMENT"!
