Lauretta Marie Cox

Laurie was born in San Francisco, California on 1953. She was raised in Mountain View and lived with her father, mother, and three brothers. She attended St. Joseph's Grammar School and Holy Cross Catholic High School.

In 1972, she married her first husband, Burt. Together they loved camping, attending concerts, and raising their two daughters, Jessica and Jennifer.

In 1983, she married Gary who also brought his son Jesse into the family and together they had Kelli. In 1989, they moved to Arizona.

They started drag racing as a family. Their weekends often consisted of family time at the track. She made many friends there who quickly became her family away from home.

She enjoyed getting her nails done, lounging in her pool, shopping, traveling to places like Hawaii, and playing her favorite Wizard of Oz slot machine. As Laurie got older she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild.

Laurie is the loving wife of Gary; mother of Jessica, Jesse, Jennifer and Kelli; grandmother of Daniel, Jordan, Madalyn, Mason, Braedon, Charlotte, Brody and Bella; great grandmother of Luna; daughter of Lois; sister of Jim, Gerry and Rick, and a great friend of many.

A memorial service will be held for her on June 26th at 11:00am at CCV, Christ Church of the Valley located at 7007 W. Happy Valley Road, Bldg #400, Peoria, AZ 85383.
