Lee A. Schipper

Lee A. Schipper of Peoria, AZ passed away peacefully on March 2, 2019 at the age of 82. Lee was born January 21, 1937 to William and Mary Oswalt in Warren, IN. The family moved to Marion, IN where Lee excelled in basketball. At an early age Lee loved music. He started his own band and won local contests that allowed him to compete on the Ted Mack Original Amateur Hour, which they won. Lee had his own TV show at the age of 18 in Fort Wayne, IN.

Lee was preceded in death by his mother and father, mother and father in-law Elmer and Ida Schipper, brother Harold, sisters Helen and Marian, previous wife Frances, daughter Debbie and 1 great grandson Mason. Lee leaves to mourn him the love of his life for 54 years Lois, daughter Diana, sons Lee Jr. (Carmen), Bill (Gwyn), Lee (Sharon), David (Crystal): daughters Sherry (Scott), Brenda (Jim), along with 21 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

Lee was an accomplished musician and was honored to play with such greats as Elvis and Conway Twitty. He loved all types of music but specially the 50's/60's and country.

Lee and Lois met in Denver and were married in 1965. Lee worked for the major tire companies which required moves to Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, South Dakota, Minneapolis MN, and Jackson, MS. After moving to Phoenix in 1989, Lee went in to Real Estate where he quickly became a dynamite realtor. He loved working with people and it showed with his success.

Lee Loved his family and many Sunday evenings were spent gathering at the house for Sunday dinner. He had a faithful companion in his "snoodle" Abby and they were inseparable when Lee was at home.

Lee was a member of the Community Church of Grace. He was unable to attend the last while due to health issues but he loved the Lord and many times said that when the Lord called him, he was ready.

There will be a celebration of Lee's life at the Sunland Memorial Funeral Home at Sunland Memorial Park at 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351 at 2:30 with Interment immediately following the service.
