Leo was born May 8, 1935, in Brooklyn NY, he was the sixth of nine children born into an Italian family. He grew up in Brooklyn and always talked about fond memories of him and his friends during the early years of his life.
Leo met the love of his life Arline, and they were married in April of 1957 and were happily wed for 46 years. Leo & Arline moved out of Brooklyn and out to Long Island, NY in the early 70’s to raise their only daughter and provide a better life for their family. Leo was a hard worker and a great provider for his family, never missing an opportunity to work overtime so he could provide them with the best possible life. The majority of his career was working as a machinist for an aerospace parts company on Long Island. Upon his retirement Leo & Arline moved to Surprise, Arizona in 1993. They enjoyed their retirement community and living in the Valley of the Sun. After his wife passed in 2003 Leo decided to follow his daughter and son in law to North Carolina to begin a new chapter. North Carolina brought the birth of his only Granddaughter, and eventually the whole family moved back to AZ. Leo was a wonderful grandpa and he lived with his family for 18 years enjoying life and getting to watch her grow from an infant up until her 18th birthday.
Leo loved sports and was a fan of all the NY teams, but he was an avid baseball fan and faithfully followed the Dodgers from the time they were the Brooklyn Dodgers to their current hometown of Los Angeles. He watched every single game that he could on TV and he could rattle off baseball stats about any player in any year of the history of the team. To him they would always be the Brooklyn Dodgers.
Survived by his immediate family – daughter Christine, son- in-law Jeff and his granddaughter Ashlyn, his memory will linger in our hearts forever.
