Leona Ruby Bruns, age 96, passed away on July 26, 2016. She was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois on October 17, 1919 and moved to Arizona from Steger, Illinois in 1980. Leona is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Albert Bruns, who passed on his 94th birthday in 2012. She was also preceded in death in 2015 by the third of her five children, her son, James Bruns.
Leona is survived by her children, Linda Utley of Bloomington, Illinois, Ronald Bruns of Addison, Illinois, Christine Peters of San Jose, California, and Patricia also of San Jose, California, as well as 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
