Leslie “Les” Nagy, 86, passed away on February 26, 2014 in Sun City, AZ. He was born in Northville, MI. Les honorably served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army. Later Les would be very instrumental in starting the Northwest Valley Korean War Vets Association. He also was inducted into the Arizona Hall of Fame. Les worked for NASA as a Shuttle Inspector.

Les is survived by his beloved wife, Mary C Nagy; children, Thomas M Nagy and Leslie Ann Nagy-Hartlauer and her husband, John Hartlauer; step-children, Charles D. Stoddart, Mark Stoddart, Debra Hierro and Robert Stoddart; brother, Michael A Nagy; grandchildren, Charlie Nagy, Tiffany Overall and Heather Haycraft.

Visitation will be held from 1-3pm and Funeral starting at 3pm on Wednesday March 5, 2014 at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351.

Oh Mary, I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. I, too, am so happy that you found each other and had many years together, you so deserved that!!! I have fond memories Mary of our shared times together. I wish I could have known Les...he was a wonderful man. Les was such a great communicator. He always kept in touch with the Downer family over the years with photos and notes. My childhood was greatly enriched living across the street from the Nagy family. I'm so glad I was able to see both of you and Esther 12 years ago when in Phoenix for a reunion. Blessings to you Mary.

While working at Sunland I met and enjoyed working with Les so much. He helped to make the events we worked on together run smoothly and we shared many stories. My sincere condolences to his family.

Wonderful man with so many amazing stories. I will pray for his family, as he will be dearly missed. His life was truly a life well lived.
