Lorin Stanley Stevenson

Lorin Stanley Stevenson, beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on June 22, 2023. Stan was born January 5, 1932 in Mountain Home, UT to Joseph Lorin Stevenson and Emma Rose Miles Stevenson. He graduated from Altamont High School, where he was Senior Class President, and attended Brigham Young University for one year before joining the United States Army in 1952. Stan married Cleo Holgate on July 2, 1954 in the Manti Temple. Cleo was his sweetheart and loving companion for nearly 69 years. Stan and Cleo have 6 children, 29 grandchildren, 78 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Stan had a successful career in sales/marketing, including a 37-year tenure with Boise Cascade. He loved camping, traveling, western movies, and assigning nicknames to those he loved. Stan is survived by his wife, Cleo, 6 children: Lee (and spouse Tami), Teresa (and spouse Al), Brenda (and spouse Mike), Ron (and spouse Mary), Michelle (and spouse Greg), and Stacy (and spouse Mark). He is also survived by 2 sisters, Kay Moon and Marie Brown.

There will be a viewing Thursday June 29, 2023, from 3:00-4:30pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 7871 West Acoma Drive, Peoria, AZ. Funeral services will immediately follow the viewing from 4:30-5:30pm. There will also be a graveside service, with full military honors, Friday June 30, 2023, from 9:30-10:30am at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ.
