Lorraine was born June 1, 1932, in Grand Forks, ND, the oldest child of William and Frances (Gregoire) Spicer. She grew up in Grand Forks and graduated from Central High School. She married Edward Bachmeier in 1953. They were married 55 years when Ed died in 2008. Lorraine worked at Sears in Grand Forks in the Cashier’s Department until she and Ed moved to Tempe, Arizona in 1978. She continued to work in Arizona until they retired in Sun City, AZ in 1992.
Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Shelly (Gary) Thomas of Loveland, CO; son, Dean (Carol) Bachmeier of Minneapolis, MN; three grandchildren, Jessica Endres of Loveland, CO; Zachary Thomas of Avalon, CA; and Lauren Bachmeier of Minneapolis, MN; three brothers, Roger Spicer of Las Vegas, NV; David Spicer of Longview, WA; and Dale Spicer of Buckeye, AZ; brother-in-law, LeRoy Collette of Sun City West, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her parents; brothers William and Howard Spicer; sisters Margaret Ann Klang and Ethel Collette.
