Lynn Harold Rogers, 78, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of January 30, 2026, in Surprise, Arizona. Born on May 14, 1947, in Oakland, California, Lynn and his wife, Louise, lived a fairy tale love story for 37 years and most recently resided at Paradise RV Resort in Sun City, Arizona.
Lynn met his beloved Louise in California at a Western State Fair convention; she hailed from Phoenix and he from Washington State. They married and built their home, R.Dyrt Resort, in Sequim, Washington. It was complete with two full hook-up RV sites to accommodate their steady flow of RV friends. Lynn had started AGS (American Guide Services) in Port Angeles, Washington, in 1988. It was a very successful printing, graphic, and internet design publication business that catered to the RV travel industry.
Travel was their passion, taking them all over the world to Europe, Russia, the Orient (Hong Kong), Canada, New Zealand, and their special love, Australia, where they lived for five years. Lynn served four years in the US Air Force with 29 assignments to Vietnam as a fuel engineer. He was a lifetime member of the Elks, a charter member of the Escapees RV Club (SKP#2), and a Rotarian.
Known to his family and friends as a very positive and happy “mate” (as he liked to call his friends), Lynn had a motto that he lived by: “If You’re Not Having Fun, What’s the Point?”
Lynn is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, two sisters-in-law, JoAnne Parkinson of Peoria, AZ, and Anita Bozelli of Cullen, VA, and their husbands, as well as many great nieces and nephews, plus nine adoptive brothers and sisters, and cousins Gordon and Rita Springfield of Yuba City, California.
A celebration of life with military honors will be held at 2 pm on March 22nd at Paradise RV Resort Ballroom, 10950 W. Union Hills Road, Sun City, AZ 85373.
